The Master’s degree in Professional and Specialized Translation (TPS) is provided by the Faculty of Humanities of the Western Catholic University (Université Catholique de l’Ouest) on the Angers campus. Created in September 2014 on the Angers campus, the Faculty of Humanities is the result of a merger of IPLV, IALH and ISCEA. The IPLV (Institut de Perfectionnement en Langues Vivantes) was created in 1970 and welcomed incoming METS students until 2013. A founding member of METS, UCO, already has 14 graduates of the programme.

The Master in Professional and Specialised Translation (TPS) trains high-level trilingual polyvalent linguists whose essential qualities are linguistic and writing skills, high computer skills, rigor, curiosity, attention to detail, and adaptability.
The UCO’s Master’s Degree in Professional and Specialised Translation has been selected by the Directorate-General for Translation (DGT) of the European Commission to be part of the 2019/2024European Master in Translation” network.
