Institut für Angewandte Linguistik und Translatologie, IALT, Universität Leipzig
The Institute for Applied Linguistics and Translating Studies (Institut für Angewandte Linguistik und Translatologie, IALT) is affiliated to the Philological Faculty (Philologische Fakultät) of the University of Leipzig. Founded in 1993, the Institute of Linguistics and Translationology (Institut für Sprach- und Übersetzungswissenschaft, ISÜW) was renamed the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translationology (Institut für Angewandte Linguistik und Translatologie) in 1999. The University of Leipzig is one of the seven founding members of METS.
